The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings market is less than two weeks away and we're excited to show off our latest introductions.  Admittedly, we introduce most of our new items in High Point during the Spring and Fall Markets, but we just couldn't help creating a few new pieces for Atlanta.

While we are always dedicated to making beautiful pieces, these Atlanta introductions were also created to let your walls make a statement.  Whether you are looking for refined, yet muted colors or something a bit livelier our summer introductions run the gamut of size and color options and are sure to impress anyone with their quality craftsmanship and high style.

We're More Than Just Pretty Artwork...

You know W. King Ambler is the place for fine, decorative artwork.  Most of our images are WKA exclusives with a wide variety of subject matter - anything ranging from very traditional to very transitional, from botanical to landscapes to sea life.  Each piece is carefully styled, matting and moulding choices made to fit today's design trends with longevity in mind.  And then each piece is hand assembled by craftsmen right here in St. Louis, MO, with attention paid to every minute detail. 

In fact, it's the details that we specialize in.  Whether it's the hand embellishments on a print, an intricate hand finished frame, or even just the high quality materials we use, all of these things are the strong base upon which we build truly beautiful, fine decorative artwork.

But WKA isn't just a line of pretty artwork.  We also specialize in framed antique prints, mirrors, and custom framing.  In fact, just this spring we were happy to introduce Smoked Mirrors into our line.  We've always carried Bevelled Mirrors, which are available with almost any moulding in our line in both standard and custom sizes and feature a 1" bevel.  Standard sizes include 16" x 16", 18" x 24", 24" x 36", 30" x 40", 30" x 48", and 42" x 60". 

The Smoked Mirrors in our line have no bevel, but feature a beautiful, antique smokey haze throughout.  Prices and moulding options are the same as in our Bevelled Mirror line, but Smoked Mirrors only come in standard sizes 18" x 24" or 24" x 36", or in any custom size smaller than 24" x 36".

If you've been keeping up with the WKA news, you know that we've been working our way through the top selling New High Point Introductions towards featuring the best selling new item from April's market.  While the Etched Florals, P5935-05418, and the Blooms on Crackled Cream, P9235-05401, were both popular at market, the best seller was actually a landscape.

Second Best Seller of New High Point Introductions

The week before last we featured the third best seller of the New High Point Introductions, P5935-05418 Etched Florals.  As promised, we're continuing the features as we move towards the most popular New Introduction from High Point.

This week's feature, while definitely new to High Point, was technically introduced in Atlanta in January as part of our Back to Nature series featuring simple, yet beautiful monochromatic pieces.  On our website, it can be found in the Winter 2011 Introductions section after log in.

Market results are in and there were some obvious favorites among the Spring 2011 Introductions.  In our last blog post, we mentioned what the Top Sellers were.  Over the next few blog posts we're going to feature the Top Sellers of the New Introductions, starting with the third most popular item and building up towards the Spring 2011 High Point Top Seller.  Stay tuned for more information about New Introduction Top Sellers and other popular items at market.

Second Best Seller From Fall Market

This group, Proust Views P2025-05365 was second place by a narrow margin.  They are very dramatic, playful and styled in a sophisticated manner.  The images were taken from the orignial antique print in the novel Swann's Way by Marcel Proust with illustrations by the artist Bernard Lamotte. Published in Paris in 1917. These are a WKA exclusive (we are the publisher).
